I think it should be Strachan from Coventry. Although they have been relegrated from the premiership this season, he has Utd in his blood after playing there for most of his carrer. Before you ask i am not a Utd or Coventry Fan i am an Everton Fan.
He has done a good job at coventry, bought players that many people had not heard of and they have turned into great players! For example Hadji.
For a team who have very little funds they have done very well to stay in the premiership this long.
Strachan is a great tacticion, and has a lot of emotion for the game. Just like Ferguson had when he came to Utd in those early days and look at what he has achieved now!
Many people have said that the next manager should be someone who has achieved something. Managers like Capello, Van Gaal, Martin O'Neill and even LIPPI!
But i believe that Strachan should be the next Manchester Utd Manager. He is like Martin O'Neill he has heart for very club he manages.

Do you really think so? Is Craig Brown getting the boot then!? He's a happy chap, looks a bit like a tomato, but still a good manager, but Ferguson may bring Scotland's game up another level or instead he could fail miserably should he take the job!

Not likely to happen, the big man will be the Scotland manager after the next world cup, which is next summer, is that not when he leaves Man U, I think so!!

He deserves more respect but then the papers don't always tell the truth - I read that Sylvain Wiltord is going back to play in France, is that true? Not that it matters he's rubbish for us other than in Cup games!

i dunno about people respecting ferguson. He dont get any respect from anyone that i speak to. Recently he hasnt even been getting any respect from his own flippin board. somthin about saving all the money for the next manager. Anywone see the paper today saying united will get rid of ferguson this year? its a flippin joke. This guy brang the europeon cup home. But he gets repaid with this crap.

Indeed it could, but I doubt it! Honestly I think Alex Ferguson has been a really, really good manager, rarely losing his temper and having to control the best team in England since the Premiership has started, it'll be a tough job to live up to his efforts and incredible record - 63% of all games won, that is impressive.

He's always chewing gum on the side lines, and the respect people have him across the world is justified and I wouldn't have minded him as the England manager, but well done to him, he's been outstanding a real character and a likeable person I'm sure United will take their time to chose the successor!
