What's so good about being a 'notable'?

All I know is, I'd rather not be voted as one. Those who have been seem to think that they're perfect! no one is perfect. They think that because they have a different 'rank' under their nicknames anything they say goes! And that's what some normal members seem to think too!

What does my high word count mean? I spend a lot of time on the internet, yes. But it also means I spend time writing and chatting to people that I consider friends. I don't come on here because I feel wanted, I come on here because I enjoy the good company it offers.

If you have something to take up with someone, Edgy, stop avoiding it and say names. Otherwise, hold your peace.

If you find respect disturbing, join the club. I don't particularly like being a notable, because people like you destroy my confidence, and make me feel like crap. I expect the others feel the same way. Being targetted because people in the forum like them.

Obviously people who have been on here longer will gain more respect. These are friends we have known for what seems like years. I respect them, because they have stuck with us, and they continue to write to their best ability, and always write amusing and interesting topics.

When a newbie starts writing amusing and interesting topics, I will thank them, and welcome them to the forum. Until that day, I will do nothing but wait, and moan, everynow and again.

Respect does not come from posting hundreds of topics, either. It comes from being an interesting person, and being an excellent writer. The notables are. Not all regulars are. Some newbies are. It doesn't matter what stage you are in, if you are a good writer, you will earn respect. They will one day be recognised as a notable. Until that time, they shall remain as we all are, and nothing shall come of them becoming a notable, apart from finally reaching it.

And if this is what they've got to look forward to, then what's the point of even TRYING to be respected?

lol me? I'm not the one with over 7400 posts and 263820 words!

Anyway, what I was saying was that the posts from most (not all) notables seem to make out that everyone else is wrong and they're not.

I don't take the system itself seriously! I'd just prefer it if all members (Including newbies) were treated with equal respect other than those who have been on here a bit longer getting all the respect.

I don't think there has been any trouble with the Regular/Notable thing. The Newbie to Regular thing bothers me a little, in that it encourages multiple garbage posts, but more often than not a lot of newbies have just had fun and posted some good topics to get to Regular status.

The people who are currently Notables deserve to be, I don't think there is any arguement with that at all. Anyway, by Christmas we'll have another 3 notables to add to the list.

I look at everyone's say, I read everything. People may say i'm nosy but I like to get in on the action. I would rather be a regular with top quality work then a newbie desperate for games. I CHEER EVERYONE. I think that everyone does great work...

Five people like me on this forum. That's all I know. I don't think I'm perfect, I'm more at the other end of the scale.

People who take this seriously, IE Edgy, should try and get out a bit more. None of us really care that we're notables, and we post the same quality that we posted when we were regulars, and dare I say it, newbies.

Because I seem to be typing a long message, I think I'll do something here.

Ant: Voted in because he makes people smile, and he writes some great topics. Writes in the stories, welcoming to newbies. There is no reason why he shouldn't be a notable.

Sniper: Voted in because he cheers people up, again. Not the most kind of people, but he's made himself known, and however much I try to hate him, I always end up liking him.

Meka_Dragon: Another top poster, but doesn't like to admit it. He's a newshunter, like me, he's a Ninty, like me, and we've both won far too many games. ;0)

FantasyMeister: Another wonderful poster. Able to make his own decisions, and manages to inform and entertain at the same time. Started off the songs, however.

Me. I'm human, believe it or not. I think about life everynow and again, and I have more than my fair share of troubles, which no-one knows about, and will not ever need to. I try to keep people entertained on here. That's all I'll ever do.
