Saw the second half of the Top 100 tearjerkers on channel 4. The no.1 was ET. That's sad.

I was glad to see that Watership Down was in there at no. 15. Always gets me crying, but usually at the end, not when Bright Eyes comes on.

Green Mile certainly deserves it. IMO, it would rank No. 1 on my list.

Was pay it forward in the list? I only saw it from 36 downwards. I thought the green mile was deserved at no. 2. Although ET no. 1. Wtf?

ET is a great film, but how could it be a number 1 tearjerker? That annoyed me. Was expecting Diana's funeral to be somewhere in the top 10, but don't remember seeing it fullstop. As well as Steel Magnolias.

And Watership Down is a superb book. Never seen the film.

I love Watership Down for some reason. And ET scared the living crap out of me when I was a child.

I actually watched most of it. I'm dirty.

Only the stuff you've seen from that was truly sad. Although the worst was that guy in the Olympics - I'd no idea that happened and it was nasty and upsetting to see, in a cliched way.

But, then again, nothing profoundly sad. As it was mostly fiction. Hurray.
