(note, I have a very healthy Mega Drive and around 30 games, my son has the Dreamcast, my wife has her books ;)
The Game Cube - it's Nintendo, it's gonna be good right? So will Sonic Team's bandwagon soak up the sales? Will Sonic versus Mario happen? That'd be pretty amazing!! Maybe Nintendo and Sega will venture in joint projects!!
The PS2 - it's not rubbish by any means, but I am not convinced by the football games on the format, and yet I think it will produce some of the best games of the next few years - the highly anticipated GT3 and MGS2?
The XBox - Microsoft's first, and possibly last foray into the console market, can they steal the limelite from Sony, and would this console be the best investment?? Who knows? If the price is right, and the DVD player good quality, I may well get this one.
thanks
if you can add to this thank you ever so much!!

What I need, is a player that I can download normally, no through some download program, and also plays .mov files without the need for additional software.

Actually, I already have realplayer 8 basic, but it won't play the files. It gives me a message:
"Realplayer needs to download new software in order to play this file"
It then proceeds to fail to contact RealNetworks for the update. This could be to do with my proxy restrictions, or something else, but either way, I still can't play those darn .mov files.
Only the on of the Ps2 or the Xbox will survive. This is too hard to tell who will win- they are aimed at the same audience and with the same marketting style... so there's no point buying one of these now
The Gamecube will always be big.. different audience + good games. get thing... gtg
