I think that spending between £40 and £60 for a new game whatever the format to me is a waste of money.
Why spend that amount on a new game when if you bide youre time and wait a few months you could probabaly get the same game a far cheaper price after it's been on the market for a few months.
Heres a exsample I wanted pd when it came out on the n64 but i wasn't allowed to get it because it was too dear but a few months later i saw it for £30 second hand.
I think that was a good example.
The cheapest game i have is Worms Armaggedon wich i bought for £4.99.
I have also got some top class games for less than £20.
Like 1080 snowboarding wich was £6.99,Lylat Wars for £14.99,Vigilante 8 for £9.99
Anyway i thimk i have made my point.
If you see a new game that has only just come out for £40 or £50,remember to wait a few months to see if you can find it second hand cheaper or slashed in priced in a big game store like Special Reserve.

One thing to always look out for: When the sequal of a game is released (like MM is the sequal of OTT) then the original 2nd hand price goes v low! Same with almost everything- esp goldeneye.
Another factor is if the shop has lots of 2nd hand copies of one game. If you are selling this game to them they will give you next to nothing... SHOP ABOUT! If you are buying, the game is next to nothing!

Believe it or not, game, EB and ALL big names rip you off. For example, that N64 pad- go to an indepenant store and it would be £3! No joke!
Also exchanges are better. Not only are new games in independant stores usually about £4 cheaper (from my experience), but they give you slightly more money for old ones- saving you about £10!
Personally, the shops that I use are Game Caroselle (or however u spell it) in Leamington and Gamestation in cov (i think they are a small chain of stores). They give excellent deals on second hand games and swaps

However I'm always a bit cautious about buying second hand games, particularly on CD based systems(e.g. playstation). Sometimes the games are scratched and dont always work, or even worse crash on the last level!
