Vertigo was worth them still existing for. Practically any of their songs beats some of the other modern crap churned out by new bands.
They're a bit too flashy with not enough substance for my liking.

I guess it's true. Lately it's been a hit or a miss, with a lot of filler. Whereas they never had a shortage of quality before.

It's not something i can help, i have musical OCD you see, i must s*g crap bands or other people will listen to them, preserving the shelf life of American crap-rock and tormenting me for many years to come.

Agreed, there's some really good - even moving - songs on their new album if you just give it a bit of time.
Others, like Miracle Drug, City of Blinding Lights and Original of the Species are really good, and you can say positive things about the rest too - Fast Cars, for example, is a good track to end on.
