See, my mother's name is Lindsay, and my father's is Kuen. (Last names...)
And, since I live with my mother, it's been Lindsay. But... I dunno.
If I were to want to change my name, legally, to Kuen, how would I go about doing it? Do I just start signing things with it?
Thanks... A very bewildered,
Alex.
Mr. E. Assassin.
I fear the Coin is unfit for society...

about changing the name. I think you have to do something with your birth cirtificate, and sending notification to the Inland revenue.
hang on i'll go check
To change your name you must be over 16. when you are over 16 you can call yourself whatever you like. you don't even have to register it.
But if you require proof of identity and are over 18, or under 18 with parental consent (your mother). You can get yourself a "Deed Poll" (sometimes known as a "change of name deed") You can write this out yourself (i'm not sure what you need to put on it. better ask your soliciter) nd then it needs to be signed by you and a witness. it can then be used as proof of your new name and identity.
You can also use a "Statutory Declaration". This is more formal and needs to be signed infront of a soliciter or an "authorised member of the court"
So thats basically how you do it.
I expect a big bloody thanks for that
