The "General Games Chat" forum, which includes Retro Game Reviews, has been archived and is now read-only. You cannot post here or create a new thread or review on this forum.
If you want to vote in this election then you will need to be here on this thread ON JUNE 7th.
That's unless you are not able to be here, then you can VOTE EARLY providing you declare that you can't make it on the 7th.
Notables are voted on the basis of their contribution to these forums. You don't just vote for your best mate. Ask yourself who you think has made these forums such an interesting place for discussion.
Everybody has ONE VOTE. You can only suggest one name. To vote you state "I vote for "Nickname".
If, like Grix, you have two accounts you must only use one of them to vote once. If you vote more than once your first vote will count, or if you do it deliberately then you will be excluded from the vote.
DON'T VOTE until June 7th.
You will waste your vote if you vote for:
An existing notable
A member of staff, even staff regulars cannot be elected.
A newbie
YOU CAN ONLY VOTE FOR A REGULAR
VOTING CLOSES at MIDNIGHT on JUNE 7th.
That should cover it. Oh - it was Sheepy who suggested that we hold our election on Polling Day.
> If you weren't who are you are, you wouldn't have trouble voting.
> You deserve to win.
Only as much as everyone else...
Then the web went down and I was presented with yet more work.
But I'm here now. And I will eventually vote, although, to be honest it's hard work and to ask for someone's name that makes a difference to these sites, picking one person in particular is a virtually impossible job. Let me just say that if even one of you left it wouldn't feel the same. I mean even the newbies on this site are more often than not bright and come up with some good ideas, or are just a chuckle at the least. I don't want anyone to feel left out from my vote, so I promise, as I have before, to put all the names of the people who have been on this site for a long while and are still here now together and then pick one at random, it's the fairest way.
If you don't get picked to be a notable, please don't get angry or upset, i'm sure none of the people on here think less of you because of it. In fact, the difficulty of the task of picking a name is evidence enought that there are plenty of good people here and they all deserve recognition.
My vote? Well, I'll write all the names down now and draw one out in a short while.

Please don't call me Sol, you make me feel as though I'm demanding £130,000 a week!
Right, Yeah - you haven't actually been here to know how many discussion points I have raised, or how long I have been here. I don't actually want to be a notable, and I know I won't be, but you're just being superfluous - whereas I, I am being supersuperfluous. Hmmm.

That wasnt my idea. My mate wrote that in. she's allways on chatrooms, and i had a big go at her for writing a stupid topic.
Sorry about that everybody. You can have a go at her at [email protected], she hadsnt got MSN messenger so dont add her because shes got this hacking thing on it when it freezes your computer. Just a word of warning.
