My instructor got us to do this at TaeKwonDo last night, it was really difficult. I don't recommend doing it if you have a bad back.

Lie down flat on an even surface looking upward, and put your hands under your back - works best if you put them at the small of your back, touching each other.

Then raise your feet and legs 2 inches off the ground or so and move them around. First open and close them, then move them around in small circles.

Keep flat while you do this, don't arch upward.
Keep your legs up as long as you can.

Painful, eh?

Heh yeah I hate that one.

Have you ever tried the sit up bleep test? That one really hurts.
