Oh dear. This is wrong on so many levels.

Surely there's a reason why most women enter their menopause at 50ish, yes?

Thoughts?

I feel sorry for the kid, it's not it's parents are going to be alive much longer, i'd be surprised if they see her 21st birthday.

You are right. This is wrong on so many levels. How the hell the doctor says he can justify her fertility treatment beats me.

I've love to know what the fathers comments were.

I can understand to a certain degree a younger (much) couple getting the go ahead for the procedure but this has to be a waste of money. If she was so desperate to give her love to a child why didn't she adopt? There are too many unwanted children in the world who are crying out for a good home.

It's disgusting really.

The father is a better man than I'll ever be. I'm just too shallow.

That's giving the child an excellent start in life, I'm sure.

"Off to university now, Mum"
"I don't think so, I'm on a state pension"
"But we can get help from the government to fund my education"
"Think again, you're keeping me in the style to which I have become accustomed"
"Damn"
"Shouldn't you be leaving for work now?"

i think that says it all.

although i can understand the arguements of "but it wouldn't really be OURS", it really does seem like adoption 35 years ago would've been a far better option.
