Paper Mario 2, Pikmin 2 and Metroid PRime 2 all come highly recommended.

There is Four Swords that's out now and that's fantastic! But I do recommend the up and coming Jungle Beat and MArio Tennis.

What about the two GC remakes of the Dreamcast 'Sonic Games'.?
They're on the £20 range as well.

Metroid Prime Echoes is a true classic and 2004 game of the year for me. You don't appear to have Zelda Wind Waker either and you can get that for under £20. Other top quality games for under £20: Conflict Desert Storm, Super Smash Brothers Melee, Soul Calibur 2, Star Wars Rogue Squadron, Super Monkey Ball, Beyond Good and Evil, Wario Ware Inc, Pikmin, Metroid Prime, Eternal Darkness, Resident Evil (0).

You could get 2 or even three of those with your £40 (all cheap from SR, actually, but dealtime.co.uk if you want to find the cheapest). I'd say that was your best option.
