Here is the new competition. Number 17. (We’re not all bored of this, are we?)

Anyway, the subject is Diamonds.

Anything to do with those sparkly things, which (apparently) are a girl’s best friend, very precious when cut right, and (according to Shirley Bassey) last forever.

It doesn’t necessarily have to be about ‘physical diamonds’ - abstract use of diamonds is acceptable, just as long as it features something diamond-like.

My rules are:
—One entry per person
—Closing date Jan 24th

--------------

Result

Some good entries, some okay, some not so good.

FinalFantasyFanatic’s is the most amazing [and uses the theme the best]
Surrealguy’s is the most evocative
Meka Dragon’s is the quirkiest
Clazon’s is the most storylike
Rickoss’ is the most poetic
arctic hobo’s is the darkest
Paradox’s is the most solid and well-structured
Wink’s is most ‘alrightish’
crossbob’s is pure genius

—extra mention for FFF: epic piece and I hail you for it, but

the one I like the most — with its subtlety of style and its quaint snapshot resonance — is…

Rungs by Mav

You win.

::::—brief firework display—::::

Over to you.

Gar! Got an idea, wrote the story, read it through. As I personally barely managed to stay awake through the droning monotony that was to be my entry I decided not to bore you with it :)

I want to read FFFs entry.

If Ashman enters this contest late I'm going to have rough sex with him until he cries.

Woo! I wrote words and stuff!
It's a start. Better crack on.

I have some kind of fetish for eyes.
Every single bloody story ... talk about them eyes.

Ahh ... but eyes. They rule.

I'm not falling for that trick again, BG.
You can have Sleepy, but don't drag me into this.

Over the years I've become very jaded after many bad experiences with customer services, you have bucked the trend. Polite and efficient from the Freeola team, well done to all involved.
