I take mine for about 15 minutes everyday (most days...okay, I sometimes forget). Do you think thats long enough or do I need to take him for longer walks?

Hes a Jack Russell and hes very small for his age but very playful, I just need to know whether my dog needs longer walks.

Cheers.

LOL.

You'll never guess what just happened.

So, I take my him out to the field, he sees that cat we always see when we go for a walk, he growls, he walks off to the field, he smiles, I let him off the lead, he runs about, he sees another dog 10x bigger than him and having no brain whatsoever chases after it, I chase after him and put him back on the lead, I head to the other side of the field and to do that I have to cross a ditch. So I walk over to the ditch, and just as i'm about to pick him up (he cant jump over it, even though a Chihuahua could if it wanted to) he jumps into it, yelps because it's ice cold, jumps out and shakes all of the mud (and whatever else people put in there) completely covering me with muck.

My mum is giving him a wash right now, not that he deserves one.

Stupid dog.

Ah, but the filter won't know that you mean that.

It is obviously convinced that you wish to use it in it's alternative context.

Haha, enjoy.

45 minutes in the evening will be much better for him.

My dog gets really (really) excited when I take him for a walk so I guess he does need some more time but I dont think I could do it twice a day.

I could take him for just a longer walk in the evening though, like about 45 minutes.

If my dog wasn't so dumb i'd let it go out buy itself and play in the field (right near my house) but he'd end up getting run over or fall in the dikke or something.

I wish my dad would let me get another dog though, I know it's harder work but it'd get rid of some of the work I already have to do like play with him constantly, I feel so bad when I leave him by himself all day while I go to school, i'd like him to have a friend to play with while i'm gone.

He gets alot of attention, it's just the walks i'm concerned about because he seems to like them so much as if he wasn't getting long enough walks.

Ah well, i'm so bored right now so I might aswell use this time to make my dog happy and take him for a walk.

:D

EDIT : Why is dikke (spelt differently) filtered? Well, what I mean is the little ditch things that you see near fields and stuff.

Heh, good idea.

Remember, you've got to be willing to give up some of your time if you have a dog.

I walk 'em once in the morning and then once at about 3pm, just to keep them happy for the rest of the day.

EDIT: Get up earlier then.

What? Like once in the morning and once in the evening?

Damn, that'd be hard seeing as I leave for school at 8am.

I'll talk to my dog, see what he thinks.

My dogs are 11 and 13 years old, and I walk them twice a day for half an hour, but thats only to stop them both from seizing up.

Don't worry, you'll notice when your dog wants to go out more.

My two never shut the hell up :-D

EDIT: But you could really do with taking him out twice a day...
