"Is there a definitive Radiohead album?"

I haven't really heard anything by Radiohead, despite them having been recommended to me countless times.

Do they have a defining album, something I could buy to see whether or not I like them? If not, tell me what you think their best is.

The Bends is probably the best to listen to first.

OK Computer.
The ones after are awful electronica, the sound of a band willingly alienating their fans.

Well, I say practically flawless because I haven't listened to the three enough times to say for certain. But I know enough to say they're brilliant :-)

I didn't think they'd be like Radiohead really, they've got a very unique style. Great band - three practically flawless albums, with a fourth out this year.

The Bends/Ok Computer

Both excellent.

I dunno, on it's own Electioneering is good, but in between Fitter, Happier and Climbing up the Walls, it just seems really out of place, and a bit... well... poppy.

A bit like how Street Spirit is so out of place at the end of The Bends. Genius song, one of their best, but just very out of place.
