An hour ago last year.. My Grandad passed away and in honour of one of the most amazing men to live in my eyes. I posted a poem so you could know some of him to
For Grandad.
Sssh, it’s quiet now
I don’t hear your voice
I miss that loud laughter
And your soothing noise
Stop, don’t go away
Sit, talk more about the boys
Tell me of your RAF days
While painting your toys
Come, sit next to me
On the leather chair
Let me lay on your belly
As you gently pat my hair
Don’t, don’t walk away
I’m here to listen now
Teach me of so many things
Tell me why and how
Hold, hold my hands
They’re as cold as ice today
You say ‘They’re bloody freezing!’
And in your hands they stay
Look, how much I’ve grown
In body and in mind
You tell me just how proud you are
You always are so kind
Smile, at all of us
We are all here for you
Nanny’s cooking dinner
We know you love your food
Thank you, for every time
And everything you are
I think of you every day
Even though you are so far
I love you, more –
Than words can ever say
But thank you,
Grandad; for everything, today.

I'm not denying they were furious. I'm intrigued to find out how you know they were hypocritical.
> righteous hypocritical fury mode.
You're telling me those words weren't hypocritical nor written in a furious manner?

So just from those words on a screen, you can tell exactly the motivation behind him saying them?

I think the above pretty much answers that...

How do you know that's what they're doing?

True enough. But most of the time the people who respond as such aren't doing it to put down the other person and make them feel stupid - they're doing it in righteous hypocritical fury mode.
Well, it can, obviously, but it shouldn't be able to.
that's pretty hectic for everyday life :S
