Wonders if this has been put up before...
What, was that not nice? But you said it...so it must be, right?

Oh? Such as whom?

So you're saying nobody should be offended unless they've lost somebody?
Seems a bit odd unless I'm not understanding correctly.
And apart from Sweet Tooth, everybody else has merely said it was tasteless and unamusing - not telling you what to do or say.
So if you're getting moody about being oppressed (which for the life of me I can't find posts like that), then you have to accept that others are equally correct in telling you that you shouldn't have posted it.
But again I come back to not seeing posts like that?
I was expecting the mixed reaction that, generaly, I got. What I wasn't expecting was the number of people who seem to be up on their soap box telling me what I can and can't think/say/do.
Also, there seems to be a large number of people on here who have been directly affected by the tragedy. At least, that's how it seems from some of the replies....
It would appear though, from the general response, that the joke fell on it's ass.
*shrugs*
Whatever.
And as for the person not understanding about punching somebody out for making jokes about something, I'm not explaining. I just will not tolerate any sorts of jokes about Sept 11th at all, no exceptions.
Now I'm going to play Star Wars Galaxies and shoot some Sandpeople.
> My objection is that I didn't find it funny, end of story.
Likewise, but I object massively to people posting "You shouldn't say or even think that!"
Why not?
"Errmm....TURRIST!! EVILDOER!!"
Boils my p!ss when people get prissy because they want people to know that, hey, they feel the pain of the poor sods who've suffered because of this.
Coming up with a reason why one doesn't like it, be it "It was a sh!te joke" or "I have a direct connection with this tragedy" is absolutely A-OK. It's the unthinking "Four legs good, two legs bad" stuff that sees steam shooting from my ears.
