What a disappointment.

In the end it was just Ming the Merciless and Flash Gordon all over again, except this time Flash had an attitude and a worrying obsession with knives. And did I see Riddick nearly crying at the end? Bless his cotton socks, and we all thought he was ruthless.

Predictable, distinctly average and instantly forgettable. After playing the game I suppose my expectations were way too high.

Just another quart of bile in a sea of fecal matter rushing out of the huge spotty behind of the soulless hollywood machine. "Tell you what lads, if we put enough explosions and killing in it, those suckers'll lap it up."

Vin Diesel is NOT a good actor. Look at his films, The Fast and The Furious- average, XXX- below average, Pitch Black- average, Chronicles Of Riddick- below average. He generally seems to choose crappy films. His best performance was the small part he played in Saving Private Ryan, even though he probably had a total of less than 2 minutes of on screen time.

I like most vin diesel films, but thought Pitch Black was abysmal.

No, the game is a prequel, the film is a sequel.

Chronicles of Riddick had good action, but about as much plot as Spazzy McGee's diary.

But I enjoyed Pitch Black.

Hell, if it wasn't for the success of that, there'd definitely never have been a sequel.

These days it appears that film companies just think :

"These people loved the first one, so no matter how crap the second one is, they'll go and watch it anyway."

I'm certainly thinking of AVP here.
