1) Mikey Owen (because everyone knows this)
2) Stevie (because he's the most complete midfield player in the world)
3) Joe Cole (because there's no better English player at the technical stuff)
4) Maniche (because of Pro Evo 3 and my Portugal fascination)
5) Ryan Giggs (Welsh boys stick together)
6) Milan Baros (My Milan)
7) Karel Poborsky (Because of his flowing ex-locks and my Sparta Prague shirt)
8) Djibril Cisse (Because when both legs work, he looks devestating in tandem with my Milan)
9) Andrei Kanchelskis (what a legend)
10) Ronaldinho ('Dinho.)
2. Kaka- I LOVE HIM
3. Bergkamp- for his senstional ability, control, respect earning and "gasp factor".
4. Zola- He's like a miniature hero.
5. Nedved- Best player everest evarrrrr. Well, he isn't, but I idolise and love him.
6. Shevchenko- He's like a machine. I don't recall ever seeing anyone even remotely like him. Brilliance.
7. Jay Jay Okocha- I first saw him with his orange hair in WC98. I have fond memories of watching him then and he's still a great entertainer and player now.
Used to be:
1. Arjen Robben- I loved him for what he was doing in the dutch league and when I heard Arsenal's name mentioned early on I was delighted. But I haven't got over his scummy decision to join Chelsea just yet.
2. Ruud Van Horse- Again he was all I was talking about for months before he joined Man Yoo. I loved him. He was such a class act and I felt could have been better than Shevchenko is now. I don't know what went wrong, but in my eyes he will never be forgiven for moving to Man Yoo and learning how to dive and cheat, which he never did before.
3. Raphael Van der Vaart- Haven't watched him lately. Dunno if he's still any good.
4. Rivaldo- what the hell happened to him, he was brilliant for Barca...
Names of an age gone by:
1. George Weah- I thought of him as "the don". Amazing.
2. Taribo West- Always bought him in my champ man games, just a thing I guess. Loved the hair and ability too.
3. Romario- Great fun to watch. Lovely striker and finisher.
4. Di Stefano- from the very, very little footage I've seen of him, he deserves all the old man ramblings of his brilliance.
5. Tony Adams- he was God for me during his time.
Jokers:
1. Pascal Cygan- has become a joke to everyone. Respected by no-one anywhere.
2. Chilavert- comical skills for a goalie. We all used to pray Paraguay get a pen or free kick, I'm sure.
3. John Lukic- likewise with Cygan, except even worse. It's almost like a swear for me. I just hate him and his stupid blunders.
4. Ivan Gattuso- That beard. AHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAA.
> 4. Ivan Gattuso- That beard. AHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAA.
Ahahahahahahah
He's a legend though. Every time someone goes near him, he does the "I'm going to rip your head off and sh*t down your neck, you son of a b*tch" look.
And the raising the crowd's volume thing is pretty genius as well.
2.) Pavel Nedved - Best player playing football today. Yes, you heard me. Zidane, Ronaldinho, Kaka? Pffffft. Godved all the way.
3.) Sinisa Mihajlovic - This guy really knows how to hit a free kick. Also, spat on Mutu's face. That's got to be worth something.
4.) Adriano - The most complete forward in the world right now. To have so many goals in the toughest defensive league in the world, as well as when your team can't score deserves applause. Will sign for Real Madrid in 2006, though, sadly.
5.) Gennaro Gattuso - As much as I hate the bandit, he's legendary. Never stops running, and makes Roy Keane and Robbie Savage's tackles look weak.
6.) Xabi Alonso - I think he's amazing. He and Gerrard in central midfield is easily one of the best centre midfield pairings in the world.
7.) Ronaldinho - Plays the game having a laugh, which is the way it should be done. Some of his skills are unbelievable, and I'll always remember the famous free kick at World Cup 2002. David Seaman = genius.
8.) Duncan Ferguson - Complete nutter. We need him back in the Scotland team. Seriously.
9.) Maniche - Why can't everybody hit the ball like him?
10.) Papa Bouba Diop - Same as above. Also, has a fantastic name.
For that goal, go to:

And it's the second goal from the bottom of the page, in the middle.
It's also accompanied by guff music. Wonderful.
But no Bergkamp.
How silly.

Yes! Someone else loves him. As much as I love the Stevie goal againast Olympiakos to get us through and Mikey's versus Argentina, my favourite goal of all time is Maniche's matchwinner when Portugal played Holland in Euro 2004 semi-final. Christiano gives him the ball, he's miles from anyone, as what seems like an impossible angle and distance...and he just let's fly, all the confidence in the world against the best keeper in the Euros.
Magical goal. If only Vieira had gone to Real and Wenger had signed Maniche. I'd love to see him in the Prem.
Genius.
He'd have got in as well, had I not thought of Sheva.
On at 4, 7 and 9.30pm today. Eurosport have randomly got a day of complete football. Not doing anything until tonight, so this = good.
One of them should be the goals program, though, as I watched the it yesterday.
