At the same time, these same people are moaning about the Gambling Legislation Bill thingy that will allow horse racing etc on Christmas Day and Easter.
Erm.
Backwards.
Also, is the only reason you can't buy alcohol before 12.30pm on Sundays because of churches?
I only thought about it today, and that's the only reason I can think of for it..
But surely that's not welcoming otehr religions?
THIS COUNTRY = WEIRD
Yes.
Well, I've sold it before then anyway.

That is wrong.
But like Light said, it's more likely be stupid patronising "leftie" militants being "offended" on the minorities behalf...
I mean, if I was a minority that would offend me.
I know loads of asian peoples from work, many of them Hindus or Muslims. Most of them like to celebrate Christmas, just like Westerners like to do. And when it comes to Diwalli (sp?), Leicester gets flooded with lights.
I've never seen anyone offended by that either.
Just another time to look at pretty lights and watch fireworks.
I read a letter in the Metro the other day by a guy with an Asian name.
And he was getting wound up how stupid the situation of the Prime Minister refusing to send Christmas cards incase it offended someone. He didn't say it, but you could tell how the patronisation of his "minority" WAS offending him. He ended it with:
"Christianity is the official religion of the country. Get over it."
But I'd probably word it different:
"The Prime Minister likes to celebrate Christmas. Get over it!"
I mean, if a Muslim got elected and enjoyed celebrating his religion's holiday, would that offend you? :-S

Because we already have alcohol, and there seems absolutely no way to get rid of it (even if we wanted to). Whereas we don't have casinos yet.

Well, in fairness to them, they're very useful if you're tracing your family tree.
Here endeth the limits of their usefulness.

I take it you didn't mean me, but useless trivia for you: I am in fact a decendant of Crackpot Smith. I mean Joeseph Smith. On behalf of the family I apologise. Oh and that temple thing is crap. I don't see what the big deal is, not much to see in it anyway. I went to Salt Lake City with my dad once who got his guided tour and treated like royalty.
Then after we left we laughed at them all. Complete nutters.
The Inca's were indeed in Peru and surrounding areas;

The indiginous people of Brazil are, apparently, collectively known as the Trumai. http://www.socioambiental.org/pib/epienglish/trumai/nome.shtm
