I mean seriously, he's written a few good songs, but the man's just a walking joke, surely? How many people do you think would love to be in his position, to be able to tour and play live and write music and get paid for it? But all I read in the news about this guy is his latest court appearance for carrying a knife/robbing his bandmate/drunk and disorderly. There's rock and roll, and then there's just being a complete t**t.
This is a perfect example of what I mean: http://www.nme.com/news/110852.htm
Remember, this is the bloke who was number 1 in the NME's 'Cool List' - a crack-guzzling drunk who thinks nothing better than robbing his best mate's flat for drug money.
Anyone else? Please?

Watch the Tesco advert for McFlys album, theres a prime example.

He is, but that wasn't my point. A lot of the 'stars' on TV come across as c*nts. Anyone that lets themselves be influenced by the c*nts is a c*nts in my opinion.

I can't figure out if you're serious or not.

You didn't, but the first line of this this thread was "Am I alone in thinking this guy is an absolute c***?"
WASTER

Mushrooms and crack are completely different things. As different as booze and crack.

I didn't. In fact, I didn't even mention or make reference to Doherty - I blamed the media.

You don't know how wrong you are.
SO much talent, so much genius, but he insists on wasting all on drugs and so forth. But I suppose that's part of the fun of being a fan of the Libertines - the will they, won't they antics are entertaining to say the least.
And sure, he'll influence a few kids with his drug taking, but he doesn't influence them, who will? I'd rather teenagers be junkies than listen to McFly...

Yeha but you can't hate Pete Doherty for that, he's just like any other drug user, you have to blame the media. I got the new Xmas NME, theres a bit about U2 where theyre saying they all used to do magic mushrooms and it was a cool psychedelic trip and made them sound quite interesting. That's not responsible at all but no-one hates U2.
