I applied to leicester Uni, (it's actually my last choice) for Electronical and Software Engineering. And its the only one i've had an offer from so far, but when i applied, they said they wanted a meer 50 points from maths, which i got from As-Level.
But i received their offer the other day, and they want 300 points, of which include B in Maths and B in either Electronics or Physics.
I can get a B in electronics. But im annoyed about the B in Maths, i doubt i can get it, i got a D in As-level, so im already down for marks.
I just hope my other choices ask for less.
Otherwise im screwed.

I ended up doing computer science, but I did a year of Electronics and Software Engineering. There is a lot of heavy duty maths in it. If you can't do the maths for it you will fail, simple as that. Really, the solution is to work hard at it. You may get into the course, but be prepared to work hard.
You're talking lots of calculus, matrices, complex numbers, phasors etc. Normally combined.

heh i left school nearly 3 years ago and haven't got my a level certificates
They're not going to let you in if other people get the grades, but if your personal statement rocks then you've got a chance.
If it's your first choice they often let you in for a bit less. Depends how well subscribed the course is.

quite possibly if the course isn't ridiculously over subscribed especially if you do well in your other units
