I applied to leicester Uni, (it's actually my last choice) for Electronical and Software Engineering. And its the only one i've had an offer from so far, but when i applied, they said they wanted a meer 50 points from maths, which i got from As-Level.

But i received their offer the other day, and they want 300 points, of which include B in Maths and B in either Electronics or Physics.

I can get a B in electronics. But im annoyed about the B in Maths, i doubt i can get it, i got a D in As-level, so im already down for marks.

I just hope my other choices ask for less.
Otherwise im screwed.
Do you think they'd let me in if i get a C in maths?

Ha, it rained so much on the second day that it had to be called off because the water based astro had flooded! The first day was ******* freezing too!

And Lufbra play national league hockey at 1st team level and only enter 4 teams into BUSA, all of which are at a very high standard. We've got 3 teams and our 1sts are nowhere near as good as Loughborough!

Your Uni offers are negotiable? Bloody hell

Here you either get the points or you dont, simple as that!

You lot have it sooooooooooo easy getting into Uni, seriously!

I play hockey, i was planning on joining the hockey team at loughbourough as they have a good pair of astroturfs.
Playing hockey in spain must have been a bit dehydrating!

All this advice is good though. Because i really dont have much idea of what to do.

Go to Leicester. Loughborough is a good uni but it's a bit poo for going out at night, plus it's horribly male dominated and it's full of jocks.

Plus nobody likes Loughborough, they were the only team that took our hockey 'tour' in Spain last year seriously.

Ooh, Glasgow is on my list of places to do Software Engineering. However I do live here and wouldn't mind getting away so I'd like to go to Edinburgh. I reckon I should get in as I've already got past their entry of BBBC. So I'm in 6th year, coasting. But that is still harsh increasing their requirements. Tho I do think that maths will alas be required a lot.

I applied to Leicester, as aposed to demontford.
I also aplied to loughbourough, durhum, and warwick (why did i pick warwick, i wont get in :S)

Im hoping to go to loughbourough. I applied for Computer Science with E-Business and Engineering -(Masters degree and Honours degree) at loughborough. So im hoping i will get into one of them.

My uncle is at durhum at the mo, and he says that the engineering course is good, and that there is alot of maths, but what he's doing isnt much harder then what im already doing.

My personal statement is pretty good i think. So hopefully it'll get me somewhere.

And you could get jobs which pay decent money when you leave

Those are the two reasons I'm not applying for any maths/physics things.

Damn boing non-moneyness.

It's a shame.

I pwn at Physics and Maths.

Science faculty rocks at Glasgow I hear. Although, when that hot blonde French maths postgrad/tutor leaves it might not be quite so great.
