I've never had any problems while playing Halo on it, it's on the lowest setting level but it runs super smooth which is what I want for online gaming.

Recently however things have been getting jumpy with it, so jumpy that at some times I get a new frame once every 10 seconds or so!

What's even stranger is that it doesn't do this all the time. It will run super smooth, then go super jumpy and almost as suddenly as it started it will go smooth again!

It's only happened recently, so I'm completely bafled as to what's wrong.

It's an Iridium 865 too if you want to know.

Time to bodge the laptop!

Raaaaar.

Maybe the fan's blocked up...

I'll take it to bits tomorrow and see. If it doesn't work however and I break it, have a good life...

Hmmm, you could try jerry-rigging some better cooling.

Um, yes.

The fan is always going mad...

Please don't tell me it's dying on me!

There was only a 1 year warranty!

Could it be anything to do with my graphics card or CPU dying?

It's just got worse gradually until now where it's just impossible to play games...

Save that comment to a notepad document an open it in 2014.

I spent half of my 'life savings' buying this one here, I really don't think it's time for a new one yet considering this is only just over a year old!

Oh, and I've left my XP disk and drivers stuff at uni, otherwise I'd probably reformat the whole thing and tidy it up.

In fact, good idea. I'll try defragging it, although I doubt that will do anything...
