Sweet! Looking mighty forward to seeing this now. Be interesting to see how it turns out with Tim Burton directing! Johnny Depp looks.. scary. I can imagine kids having nightmares after seeing this film. His smile is too perverted.

Anyone seen the Family Guy episode "Wasted Talent" with the Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory Parody? - it's pretty funny, especially the part where Lois and Peter get stopped by police and to get away Peter says
"look over there louis. Run!"
and then the police run away.

It's class!

No way this version is going to be as good as the original.

I'm not denying that, I just feel that the Gene Wilder version was a perfectly good film without following the book directly. Disney's version of The Jungle Book barely follows Rudyard Kipling's book but it's the most popular film version of the book that there is.

This guy made The Nightmare Before Christmas and Batman? hmm I'm not very impressed, I was expecting something a lot better. But I'll wait and see the finish product first.

Planet of the Apes? I'm still trying to figure out the ending. :S

Not particularly on topic of Wonka itself, but Depp is a fantastic actor I feel.
