It's not called compulsion, it's called liking metal. Ironically enough, three of the songs I've mentioned are hard rock, and one is progressive rock. I love the way people jump to conclusions sometimes, as it often proves them wrong.

ok, here's a few of the intros i like:
"love spreads" - stone roses
"love is the law" - The Seahorses
"5 minutes alone" - pantera
"promise" - devin townsend
"velvet kevorkian" - Strapping Young Lad
"tug the tapeworm" - the Almighty Punchdrunk
i'd better stop now before i list all the songs i can think of that have ace riffs at the start :)
