It must be to do with this simply wretched cold I've got. But my ears are literally painfully deaf. Not only do they hurt, but I can't hear very well at all. I just belched, and it felt like my left ear had flooded...

Pop your ears...... hold your nose and try and blow out of it, it will probably hurt a bit but it may fix the problem......a bit.
