Just wondering what people thought of these? Pro's and Cons? Also I hear that you can get a student discount on them if you order it from within the Uni network, any idea how much I would save as they go for £179 currently. Also are the albums much cheaper off i-tunes or whatever, I'm new to this but I'll be using the bus a lot more now so I need some music to listen to!

Cheers.

This is what I'm thinking of getting for my sister. They're smaller too.

That would give me a reason not to buy it!

I've been looking into portable music too lately. The Creative Labs Zen Micro looks pretty neat. Roughly the same price as an ipod mini yet has an extra gig and handles wma's.

Just can't decide whether to compromise size to quadrouple the capacity for a couple of quid extra by going for a full-sized ipod.

Decided to go for a Nintendo DS + Mario..something to do in boring lecturers and on the bus home :) Thanks for the views though, I'll look into it for my b'day in march, especially if the HDD is going up to 6Gb.
