Friend of mine wants a portable MP3 player but doesn't want to go above £100. At that price I assume we're looking at a flash based one but I'm not particularly clued up on it all.

If you guys could recommend a few good ones that fit the description, and maybe even a run down of the pros and cons that set some apart from the others I'd very much appreciate it - as I say, I'm a bit of a rookie to the subject.

I've got that - fantastic little thing and like the size of a.. um.. small sausage.

There's tons on eBay starting at £15, the only problem is the P+P costs about a tenner from Hong Kong. Got mine for about £25-30 in total..

I'm still not sure.

I'll think about it and probably decide tommorow because I have £95 and want to get Trainers too.

Yeah, they are tiny little things arent they. Thats one of the reasons I got it. I dont want to carry 10,000 MP3s with me, I just want a bit of music to kill the boardom on the bus etc. so this was ideal.

Exacatackly my reason, too! Also, I wouldn't want to get mugged and have an iPod stolen. ;)

yeah. People with white earphones are more likely to get mugged these days.

Anyway, i've decided to get a MP3 player but because I still want my Trainers I have a tight budget, I need to find one for £30.

I dont want to order from Hong Kong or anywhere outside the UK.

I wanna try to get a 256 one too, possibly a 512 one if i'm lucky.

Cant find any 'decent' ones from the UK.
