I was explaining to the missus last night about how Michael Moore got booed when he mentioned the Iraq "war" at the OSCARs when on the same night a man, who was wanted by the authorities because he admitted having sex with a 13 year-old, was cheered and clapped.

And now the same bloke (Roman Polanksi) wants to be allowed to give evidence in a British libel case from France because he's worried that if he comes to England he'll be extradited to the US.

There's certianly an improvement in that area anyway, I'll grant you that.

I don't like Polanksi's films.
I don't care about statutoryrape (that is when a girl is underage she is deemed to have been raped, even if she was willing and able).
I don't care about Polanksi's partner Sharon Tate being butchered by The Manson Family whilst 8 months pregnant.
I don't care about the faux outrage from somebody that watched 20mins of a documentary and is suddenly an expert.

I do care that Timmargh's original point was completely missed by the screaming torch-wielding mob because it's indicative of why I want to see so many of you floating face down in a pond.

And Timmargh is stating the case against. He's also giving reasons why he's so disgusted (Polanski avoids the law on one issue, but tries to use it to his advantage on the other). You've stated the facts as given to you on the documentary, then said "But anyway, what about these footballers...".

I take the point that hysteria about paedogeddon is ridiculous, but I think the point Tim is trying to make is that Polanski is a hypocrite.

And light your right there are only 2 people who know the truth. Polanski and the Woman. But im just stating what was on the documentary
