I also don't think JBL is the worst champ ever. He's one of the worst in recent history but not the worst ever.
I'd rather judge them for the abilities they have now. Angle first, Eddie second in my book.
Leave the past in the past. That era served it's purpose and now there are new people at the top. Some aren't ready, some are. Eddie was ready and worked his hardest. The Smackdown writers just made a complete mess of it.
At the end of the day, Eddie's in ring work eclipses everyone on Smackdown besides Angle.

That's a load of codswallop. The rating were in the toilet before Eddie won the title and they were still in the toilet after he won the title. Contrary to popular (and WWE management) belief, the fans do not switch on or turn off based solely on the champion. Did the fans stop tuning in after Steve Austin lost the strap? No, because he was still on the show. Did the fans tune in when Bret Hart became champ? No, because the show was awful at the time. You can't blame everything on the champion. Will the fans suddenly tune in when Angle recaptures the belt? Well, my money would be on a resounding 'no', because Smackdown is awful.
