before you start moaning again i'd like to remind you of the raping and pillaging you took from pompey last season. Quite possibly their best performance in the top league, and Mr Pires' actions. If you want to moan about a penalty, preach at your own lot first. Outrageous cheating and your run wouldn't even have existed.
on another note the game was unbelievably rubbish, so boring till the peno, which made it interesting just by virtue of the fact A***s historical run was about to be ended
Second foul in the box did look like a penalty but wasn't give. That's the way it goes.
But Man Utd didn't win 1 - 0 and I sat in the pub for nearly two hours before being rewarded by a lovely little worked goal by Smith and Rooney. It was worth watching all the tosh beforehand simply for that.

If, if , if, if
As Wookie always used to say, all if's and but's
The fact of the matter is the second one was a clear cut penalty and wasn't given - which cancels out the first.
With Pires diving against Pompey last season, Arsenal and Mr Whinger have very little to complain about!
The fact of the matter is that you lost. Live with it; Man Utd were the better side.
You'll still win the title, you'll still challenge for the Champion's League, and you'll still be as successful as you have been. But you're unbeaten glory is over.
You're the best side in the world, pride yourself on that instead.
And as for the Ronaldo penalty "not happening", I guess it's just one of those things we'll never know. Like whether you'd have beaten Pompey without the aid of Robert Pires' ballerina-like diving.
What I will say is that, as a neutral, I think Man Utd were the better side. Whether that would have changed by Rio being sent off, or whatever, who knows? Again, it's just one of those decisions. Don't rue on it though, to go 49 games unbeaten you have to have a bit of luck as well as skill, and it was predominantly against you today, unlike many other times over the last year ot so.
> Cancelled out by the fact that Ronaldo's was clear cut.
It wouldn't have happened if Rio was off and or the penalty was given.
It's all questions and ifs and blah blah.
On the contrary, I haven't seen one Man U fan admit that there wasn't enough contact today for Rooney to collapse.
Ie. admit he dived...
