God damn it's difficult. I can't for the life of me decide what style to do it in, and I'm such a bloody perfectionist I can't get the thing off the ground.

It's due to belief as well, losing faith in the story. Animation teaches that you draw the keyframes, then use your imagination and skill to fill in the rest.. and that's kinda how I like to write, going creatively from one position to another.

Is anyone writing a novel at the moment? Any tips? I'm so desperate to get this done, but I can't seem to get around to being happy with how it's going. Stupid writer's block doesn't help either.

Sounds good, I'll obviously be expecting a signed copy when it's released.

You're desperate to do this? That's probably your biggest problem. If you end up being too desperate you're just going to churn out rubbish.

EDIT: two posts on the trot I've had to edit for simple spelling mistakes! Can I be your proof reader?

Nah, no boy meets girl rubbish... it's really hard to describe what the story is about.. I guess, it's a story about a story. It's heavily character focused, especially on two, but overall on four characters, which is a nice number. Oh, five actually, but the fifth one dies in the opening chapter, but plays a large role as he's actually the narrator of the story. It's not about ghosts or anything though.

It's a very complicated story, but simple enough to be a fairytale. Just.. um, hard to describe.

I think there are quite a few people on here that are actually having a go at this. Fortunately I'm not one of them :)

Although I'm pretty sure I could write a kind of 'love' story based on one of my earlier works.

EDIT: even if I cannot spell write on the first time of trying.

I'm not, but as soon as I find the time and come up with an intriguing enough idea, I do plan to have a go. Every credit to ya. I would tend to go for a sci-fi/drugs theme, something that perhaps prompts the reader to question their interpretation of reality. It's something we all wonder about at some time or another.

If you write a love story, I'll have to slap you. Unless it's a love story where the two in love are forced to question their interpretation of reality.

Very pleased with the help given by your staff. They explained technical details in an easy way and were patient when providing information to a non expert like me.
