"Resident Evil 4"

IGNcube gave it 9.8 and said it was the best survivial horror game ever. The reviewer also said that if it was released in 2004 it would be Game of the Year, which tells you something about how good it is. I can't wait.

4 days till the US release, but according to the GAME website, the UK release is set for March 18th. Balls.

Anyways, back in the real world. They do need to do advertising. I've seen some early online stuff but some well-placed TV spots will generate far, far greater sales than just relying on "the buzz going round".

MArch 18th is the official release date.

And there is tonnes of hype about this game, newspapers, magazines, TV programmes are all talking about it.

Like Halo 2, the hype was so high they didn't need to do any real marketing.

The game will sell millions upon millions!

Resi series never really grabbed me, but after seeing movies etc i really want this game now!.

I think we MIGHT see a few adverts in mags and maybe the odd advert on channel 4, but it wont be as big as it should be.

Imagine if it was being realised next week, add a BIG advert campaign, plus the fact GC are only £40...that would be a sure winner.

it won't come out on the same day. March 18th is just a predicted release date for a TBA March date. That's why so many games are coming out on that day.

I want this, I didn't, for a long long time, but now I do.
But TS3 comes out ON THE SAME DAY!!

I claimed TS3 with a GAD win though, and whatever birthday money I get on Sunday is primarily for Baten Kaitos.

I need to win another game.

It's up to you . If you have a GC why would you wait for the PS2 version, when it won't be as good? If you don't have a cube but want Resi 4, they're only £40.

Why?

The remake of the original was superb and Resident evil 0 was almost as good so I am only expecting good things from Resi 4.

yeah remake scared me, especially the stuff they put in that was'nt in the original. And i did'nt use a guide, so i had to figure out that when u dont properly kill a zombie, they come running through doors, i was shi**ing myself just taking a quick route i had took numerous times.

I'm not gonna read the review , but have watched a quick clip, it looks like there is a lot of ammo.

Damn shame - this is the perfect game that a massive advertising campaign could really sell. As was Prime 2 in my opinion.
