Anybody else watch this last night?

Wanted the Legends to win all the way. Was quite a good match and was expecting it to be aa walkover.

Darren Campbell played well for the Celebs and was unlucky not to have scored a goal.

When Sir Bobby Robson brought on the 60 odd year old Benetti keeper for the last ten minutes, you just knew that they would shoot from anywhwere. With the Legends 1-0 up the Celeb captain hit a shot/cross into the top corner to bring back memories of Seaman.

Thought the Celebs were going to win the because if it went to penalties the keeper would have had no chance. But in the 93rd minute guess who popped up to score the winner...Ali McCoist!!!

Hope they do another one next year aswell.

If they did do another the legends team would have to remain pretty much the same because there aren't many other players left alive that are still fit enough to play and are worthy of the title legend, they could have had David Seaman though. Both teams did quite well but for me, Gazza was the most impressive (apart from that thing at half time where he had to score from the half way line) because he made some great runs and showed some great potential to score.

I thought it had been quite good series, Sky should be congratulated on this one i feel, not only was it entertaining and interesting, a good lot of money was collecting for charity.

As for the game, it was pretty good, and i wish i had actually been able to get up to Newcastle to see it live, with some of my Heros playing, mainly Waddle. Have to say i was hoping the celebs would win, glad to see the Owls fan Tommy Craig got a full game and did pretty well, as did most of the other players. I actually gave a cheer when the celebs scored. But you could really tell the class of the Legends team. If some of them hadnt had there beer bellys on show, and there fitness was what it once was, they would have hammered them.

Thought the presentation for Sir Bobby was good too, was a nice thing to do for him.

All in all, much better than i thought it would be.

Hope theres another one to come.

You could obviously tell which team the Legends were. They were more composed on the ball and always looked like they could score. It was the Celebs defence that did well.

Darren Campbell missed a few too many really good chances. Still a good game in the second half (it was all I saw). I also saw the highlights. Pallister hit that ball sweetly.

was quite an uplifting idea from Sky to do this series.

I think everyone thought that the legends would completely demolish them. However was quite close.

I agree there should be another one :)
