Wanted the Legends to win all the way. Was quite a good match and was expecting it to be aa walkover.
Darren Campbell played well for the Celebs and was unlucky not to have scored a goal.
When Sir Bobby Robson brought on the 60 odd year old Benetti keeper for the last ten minutes, you just knew that they would shoot from anywhwere. With the Legends 1-0 up the Celeb captain hit a shot/cross into the top corner to bring back memories of Seaman.
Thought the Celebs were going to win the because if it went to penalties the keeper would have had no chance. But in the 93rd minute guess who popped up to score the winner...Ali McCoist!!!
Hope they do another one next year aswell.
Just watching him, live, as he built up for the inevitible cross... He didn't shape as if he was about to bend it in towards the back-post. His body position was too straight-ahead. With the accuracy and directness of the ball's travel, surely, it was all of intent?
I hate Ally McCoist and always have done. "Always in the right place at the right time", as Andy Gray said. He could've skies it and taken us to an entertaining penalty shoot-out, but no. He just had to score, didn't he...! :P
I'd like to think they will make this an annual thing now, as someone did suggest after the game.
Just so long as they lose Mark BORING-Smith, cut-back on the Sven-and-Ulrika "gags" and bring in some more recognisable celebrities; if they can afford them...
Speaking of money, I was very surprised to see Ian Wright there. In the 'papers before the match, I read that he couldn't agree terms with Sky, and so, would not be featuring after all.
Perhaps, they ripped him off, and that is why he played with such a "temper"?
Matt Le Tissier - the greatest player England barely had.

You obviously watch it if you knew someone was out of it :P
> Yeah i watched it, very entertaing i must say, although that Harvey on

Harvey was the bloke that won 'The Games' on channel 4 a couple of years ago wasn't he?

Bonetti was one of the best keepers in English history (Banks obviously being the first), I wouldn't count him out so easily. Even if he is old.
Genius attempt.
