Okay, so here's the new SSC topic:

Shard of Light

It can play as big or small a part in your story as you like. Hopefully it isn't too crappy and uninspiring a topic. ;-)

No real rules, just remember to add SSC12 to your title, and try not to make things too long. Also, one entry per-person.

Closing date is October 22nd.

Sorry to all of you who didn't get to the top three. Really, this was the hardest thing ever to judge because I liked all of the stories so much. Well done to everyone, and a special mention Fozz, just because I loved the storybook charm of it so much.

I'll say it again: I don't know how or why, but there's some seriously good writers comcentrated in these here forums.

Congrats to all that competed; particularly the top four. This SSC has marked a return of extremely high standards.

Glad Meka won actually, I really didn't deserve to win for that entry, Meka's was much more juicy. Um, no hard feelings if there were any, anyway.
