Toy Story Sequels
Further adventures of Woody and Buzz?

October 06, 2004 - Disney CEO Michael Eisner has revealed that the company will create two additional installments in the Toy Story franchise. NY Newsday has a report from a Goldman Sachs investment conference in Manhattan where Eisner said, "We're doing two 'Toy Stories' at once."

The partnership between Disney and Pixar terminates after the release of Cars in 2005, and the Mouse will be free to make sequels of their own.

A Disney spokeswoman expanded on Eisner's comments, telling the paper, "They're working on different story ideas with the hopes there will be a Toy Story 3 and another after that." A Pixar spokeswoman declined to comment.

Online reports have hinted that the story for the sequel(s) may be derived from the ending of the original treatment for Toy Story, which tells what happens to the toys when Andy grows up. In the original treatment, the toys find a permanent home in a preschool, where there will always be children to play with.

Eh? Am I missing something?

Unless this is a completely separate team, another Toy Story film could be great. Toy Story 2 was a superb sequel, handled far better than the vast majority are - I think they'll be able to put an equal amount of brilliance into a third.

Hopefully they'll do away with the boring sentimental bits though, like that song in Toy Story 2.

lol I'm not suprised by this at all, typical Disney they'll ruin the films by milking them until there's nothing left.

God I hate Disney.

Do they seriously think for a second that they can recreate the magic and comedy of the first 2 films?

Probably not actually, I'm sure they know they're gonna suck but they alson realise it's a sure fire way of getting money. Something that their last 2 big film releases failed to do.
