Hey everyone. As some of you might have noticed, every day I try to put up a question for you all to chip into. After 4 days I ran out of questions.

Anyway, my idea is for competitions about games. And we're not talking the one u just had "Who makes the PS2". OMG! We're talking very technical questions... but questions that with research can be answered... first correst answer wins. For example, name all Miyamoto's games in order- ok, that would be a bit too long, but there's an idea.. A question like that which would need a couple of weeks to answer! Then as a reward, you could either give a game (although with GAD already this could be costly)- OR even better would be to reward it with a recommendation to upgrade statice from Regular to Notable, OR just add losts of posts onto your total count for that month :)

Finally, how about having a proper vote bit of the site. The vots that you would have would be 2 fold. Firstly, u could have SR votes, eg. Who should become a notable this month, rather than have HUGE topics! Secondly users on SR could post their own votes (eg, Zelda or Final Fantasy and other rubbish!) thus enhancing the site!

I have a few suggestions, but I can tell you most people will not like them.

1) Have a funny mouse curser.
2) Have a tune playing in teh back ground (maybe make it changeable?)
3) Babe Of The Week section. Basically we can all have a vote on what girl we think is teh ebst and then who ever gets the most votes (lets say Brintany does) we have a pic of her for a week.

Hmmmmm, I don't think this would work very well, it would make the place too competetive and people would start falling out. GAD is bad enough when you have all the newbies desperatly trying to win a game, but add something else and it will get completely out of hand.

However, SR, do as you will.

Good to see this topic prompted so much debate! I think the idea of a "star points" system shouldn't be over looked! Unlike winning a game- for which one person wins every day, star points would be given for any outstanding post. There might be a day where 5 points were awarded, or some where no points were awarded!

The best thing though is that GAD would be more than just winning games- it would also be trying to post top quality stuff to gain more star points that would appear on your tag line, thus gaining respect. Also, for newbies to become regulars, as well as 300 posts or whatever, they would also need a minimum number of star points... thus meaning regulars are not just people who reguarly post- but people who reguarly post quality topics.

Maybe a requirement to be allowed to be entered for the monthly regualrs vote would be that u need loads of star points... each of which would be v. hard to gain. Certainly makes the position far more hard to attain... just the way it shoudl be!

OK, I've given Ali the rise so it's safe to change it to "Ali stinker" or something now.

This way you aren't just poting to win games, but also

Alternatively, only staff could add stars,

From a tecnical POV that would require huge numbers of tables and fields on the database, and would be impratical
