Final Notes : :(
The majority of the 1st party Nintendo games as Alistair said, have been a huge let down. I think the only Nintendo games that I've been happy with have been Mario Sunshine, Zelda, Pikmin and Smash Bros. Even Mario and Zelda felt like quite a step down from their much better N64 prequels.
I think Cube just goes to show that Nintendo can't support a console on their own. Sure they've got a few 3rd party friends now, but it really isn't enough.
The N64 was kept alive by Rare, if it wasn't for them I have the feeling that the N64 would have been a very similiar story in terms of quantity of quality games. Say what you like about Rare now, but they kept the N64 alive and without them I just see Nintendo continuing to loose any grip they once had on the console market.
It's sad to see, I love the Nintendo of old. But this generation has been nothing but dissapointments Nintendowise.
Things are a wee bit dry just now, as is usual just after Christmas, but really there are so many games that I've wanted but never got round to buying that it really doesn't matter. Who knows, I may even buy Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow before Chaos Theory comes out.
The Cube has been a complete let down. Pretty much every game I have bought for it (depite being all supposedly top exclusive titles) have either bored me to death or when bought had nothing different to put them apart from the rest of the market.
I will grab one from the States to play Resident Evil 4 but aside from that there is nothing at all of any interest and it will no doubt be sold on to clear up some space.
Metroid, Zelda, Mario, pretty much all the major games that I was really looking forward to just ended up being unbelievable disappointments.
Now considering I sold my Cube nearly 2 year ago and I tend to love Nintendo games, that's an incredibly poor showing. Hell the games I want haven't even been released yet. Oh Nintendo, how the mighty have fallen and released stupid games with bongos to boot.
>Thief 3
You can find it at just over 10 quid. This is the best of the ones you've listed by a long way.
> Second Sight
same as thief 3
> Conflict Vietnam
I wouldn't bother at the mo. Give it another month or so for the price to drop more. Worst in series.
> Call of Duty
No stats so I'm leaving this.
> Spider-man 2
Definately interested in this.
> The Suffering
Ordered it too. :)
> Worms Forts
I'd check the reviews on amazon first. The lack of official reviews is unsettling. Too under-powered in my opinion.
> X-Men Legends
This also looks quality particularly because of the team dynamic.
