I've been working out on and off for four years now, and I'm still not buff in an AC Slater sort of way.
You may lose some fat, gain some muscle, get some definition, but you'll still be a skinny computer nerd, just like English_Bloke and I (don't deny it, EB, we've all seen your picture)

Oi! My picture on SO, (the one on there now), is me when I was 18. I'm nearing 21 now. I weighed 10 and a half stone in that picture. I now weigh 13 and a bit. You may be a skinny computer nerd, but I'm a buff policeman. Yes indeedy...Um..no..really, I am...

I'm barely 11 stone. I'd like to say I was lean, but since I stopped working out properly back in June, my beer gut has returned. And I was so fit and healthy just a few months ago...
I had bodyfat percentage of 8.1 when I joined the police. After training school it was 10. It's now back down to 8.
