There's really no excuse for killing ducks unless you're making Duck A L'Orange.
I love ducks - and I won't tolerate any form of animal cruelty.
It's amazing how those things happen.
I remember seeing something on TV about a guy who was sabbed in teh bead with a huge knife, the knife went right through his brain, but was a 16th of an inch at either side of parts of the brain which would have killed him if severed.
I saw the skull x-ray of it, you could see the knife right through the middle of his head, from the top all the way down to his ear, and he survived.

Quack. I think my friend accidently killed a duck by feeding it mcdonalds chips covered in barbecue sauce. I think it had a seizure opr somehting becasue it's head was shaking and it like, stopped moving. But then it flew away. I dunno if it lived.
