green days new album. Will it be good????

They're hardly college rock...

The whole reason I think Green Day are far better than most of the current 'big' pop-punk out there is that far too much of the current stuff is incessantly upbeat and gets on my nerves. A lot of Green Day stuff isn't especially upbeat...

ah shurrup.

I hate the guts out of Greenday.

Purely because of their music - not for any other reason.

I hear their music, and think 'dear god I'm in a happy, bouncy american college/high school.'

I've heard the title track and I think it's excellent. But I want to hear the rest of the album before I make a decision.

Dookie was probably the best album they've done thus far for what it was... Nimrod I reckon is very good too though, just because I feel it's far more varied than their previous albums. I mean there're actually a couple of quite heavy tracks on Nimrod. I think Warning was a good album, people just didn't like it because it was unexpected. It wasn't their best, no, but I think people bash it too much. Waiting is an awesome song.

I don't know how good or bad this album will be, I'll probably pick it up sooner or later, just becuase Green Day were one of the first bands I got into and I've got all their albums to date. May as well pick this one up too. The new single isn't all that great. Catchy, but very standard pop-punk stuff. And some may accuse them of jumping on the Bush-bashing bandwagon...

Then you could possibly not like this album. It's not very greenday-ish.
