Just saw this on sky with a little clip of the ref being taken off with blood pouring out of his head.
T'will be interesting to see what Fifa will do over this if it was a fan.
Ofcourse, it could be nothing.
Good night for England and whatnot tonight it seems. Liverpool doing well and Man Utd with the usual.
Le Pompey above Man Utd in the league, the world is crazy.
But to be honest, calling the game off because the 4th official wasn't "senior" enough is absolutely ridiculous! I could understand if it were for health and safety reasons, but the 4th official is a trained proffesional, and there is no reason why he shouldn't have taken the game on.
Must say, was quite a good throw by the fan to hit the ref plum on the head.
Fantatic goals, fantastic misses (Garcia and that Lyon bloke in particular) and fantastic aim (Le headshot)

Notice the word 'apparently' in my post. I got the report from Eurosport, having not actually been watching the match myself. Muh, bloody Sky Sports...

Eurosport's website have stated that it was definitely not a coin, and I'm thinking that they'll have slightly more information on the matter than yourself or any other regular viewers...
Much strangeness

Yea had a look at both replays again and it seems that's the case, that guy will probably still be in trouble anyway

Indeed

It was a missile or coin, and he didn't stand on a player by "mistake" - unless mistake means elbowing him in the back and kicking him in the back of the leg.
The fan in the Mexes replay wasn't the culprit, as far as I could see (about 6 times on Sky Sports) as he was throwing a missile type thing, rather than the coin that appears to have hit Frisk. Shiny circle thing...
Roma should definately forfeit the match. It's disgusting that fans can behave like that, especially on such a large stage.
That Kiev goal was fantastic though, wasn't it?
