OMG etc

jisms:
everything

Slightly bad:
Leon takes up a lot of the screen

This game is teh roxor. I've been walking through an off track pathway shooting out angry french people's kneecaps so they go down quicker. No more sissy auto aim. Then as they collapse to their knees I run up and round house kick them across the face.

Then I arrived at the village, got mobbed by villagers with pitchforks and scythes. My clip ran out and there was no time to reload (you can't do that inventory reload 'cheat' now either) so I ran across the village and headed into a house and barricaded the door. Cue loony paper bag man appearing and waving a chainsaw around, other villagers bring ladders and set them up to the upstairs window.

I ponce around looking for items and chainsaw man cuts through my wooden barricade, narrowly avoiding him I run up stairs and grab a shotgun off the wall. Seeing villagers climbing the ladder and starting to get in the room I realised I'm trapped, so I run into a corner between the bed where they can't get behind me and pull out the shotgun.

Unfortunatly I was a bit too slow and chainsaw man promptly decapitates me, blood gushes everywhere and 'You Are Dead' appears on the screen.

You want this game.

Also of note, walking into a shack to find a woman pinned a few feet off the ground by means of a pitchfork through the face, "No sex discrimination here" says Leon..

I pick up mines of dead people - like any pickups.

I guess you just have to have the gun - I've never picked any up off the environment rather than off a body - and the reverse is true for the TMp and Magnums.

Gah, me neither. Mines still in the damn post.
Got it from Lik-Sang (because I wanted to use one of their vouchers they gave away with the DS), and because I'm a pikey when it comes to shipping prices, I got the cheapest shipping option, hence it is still in transit (was sent on the 15th).
That and the fact that my copy of this months NGC has probably now been nicked by some thieving little 14-year old postman seeing as that hasn't arrived yet either.

Sometimes I hate post.

It wouldn't be so bad waiting for Resi 4, but everywhere I look there are gamers talking about how darn great it is.

Nope, it's part of their AI.

All throughout the game you will be able to hide in buildings, and you will be able to barricade doors and windows with bookcases and desks etc. When you decide to hole up in a building they will break through windows, raise up ladders to enter through the first floor, and smash your barricades in.

Still yet to play :( but my mate at uni seriously had problems explaining how good it is so after 5 minutes of loads of half sentances he just came out with "likely to be the best game i play this year".

question which may have been answered but oh well...things like this from the original post:
"other villagers bring ladders and set them up to the upstairs window"

Is this like a set scene thing or is it the villagers figuring out what to do themselves?

Where do the mines actually come from? Seeing as I never picked up any mine ammo in the game.

I killed Salazaar in 30 seconds, one rocket and BOOM :)

I got the mine launcher purely as a back up weapon against heavy foes - it can take out some tricky beggars whom you might waste a load of shotgun shells on.

I have the Red09, Striker, .223 semi-auto and the ML - no rocket launcher or magnum/new pistols.

For example, when taking out Salazaar, the Mine Launcher proved very useful for landing 3/4 very powerful shots on him - the rifle is good, but the ML is just uber powerful.

I never bought the TMP/mine launcher/rocket launcher.

I've used TMP in Mercenaries and it's weak as hell, but I've unlocked a more powerfull rapid fire gun so that may be worth getting.

Did you get the Punisher? Technically it can do the most damage out of the handguns. Fully upgraded it is 1.9 power and the bullet will travel through 4 enemies, so you can hit five at once and do 9.5 damage with a single shot.

Though that relies on you being able to line them all up, and seeing as they fan out and surround you when they get close that isn't all that practical really...
