jisms:
everything
Slightly bad:
Leon takes up a lot of the screen
This game is teh roxor. I've been walking through an off track pathway shooting out angry french people's kneecaps so they go down quicker. No more sissy auto aim. Then as they collapse to their knees I run up and round house kick them across the face.
Then I arrived at the village, got mobbed by villagers with pitchforks and scythes. My clip ran out and there was no time to reload (you can't do that inventory reload 'cheat' now either) so I ran across the village and headed into a house and barricaded the door. Cue loony paper bag man appearing and waving a chainsaw around, other villagers bring ladders and set them up to the upstairs window.
I ponce around looking for items and chainsaw man cuts through my wooden barricade, narrowly avoiding him I run up stairs and grab a shotgun off the wall. Seeing villagers climbing the ladder and starting to get in the room I realised I'm trapped, so I run into a corner between the bed where they can't get behind me and pull out the shotgun.
Unfortunatly I was a bit too slow and chainsaw man promptly decapitates me, blood gushes everywhere and 'You Are Dead' appears on the screen.
You want this game.
Also of note, walking into a shack to find a woman pinned a few feet off the ground by means of a pitchfork through the face, "No sex discrimination here" says Leon..
You can chuck Ashley through the window, she unlocks the doors, you go in a collect your Broken Butterfly - and a whole lot of other treasure.

When do you get that, i seem to have missed that free weapon on my first run thro'?

resi 4 isn't "survival horror". they called it "action horror" or something stupid like that. basically there arent any moments like the one u refered to in the game. the changed everything because they wanted resi 4 to appeal to the "halo generation" we live in today.
If it opted for some FPS-alike controls, it would be easier to move and shoot and better to control ... but you'd lose basically all the atmosphere created by having to stand still and shoot.
>weapon stuff
This is about the best way to go about it, I think.
Don't upgrade the handgun at all - get the punisher but don't upgrade that either - and sell them both for the Red9 and the stock with it. Then spend all your money on upgrading it - the exclusive puts its firepower at 5, which is a decent shotgun blast.
Keep the first shotgun and upgrade it now and then, don't buy the riot gun. I only got the shotgun up to 5 firepower, and I was fine. Then get the striker when you can and throw money at it.
I didn't buy a rifle until the semi-auto was avaliable and didn't need one until then. The scope's a bit of a waste of space - you can do well enough without.
Don't buy a magnum until you can get the Broken Butterfly for free and throw money at that too (not as much as anything else, though, as you won't use it as much)
Only I never bought the TMP, because it sucks ass, and just sold the ammo off for a few thousand. Can think of any situation where the TMP would do a better job than a shotgun or handgun.
I would recommend the mine-launcher, just because its so damn fun - but there's basically no ammo for it anywhere. Which is a shame - with the homing mine exclusive upgrade, I think I would be amazing to play around with.
