I went to my first serious car crash yesterday. I think that was by far the worse job I've had to do since joining. Worse then that lass we found swimming in her own vomit. Even worse then that 45-year-old man hitting on me.

I know "people die every day" blah-blah. But seeing the wreckage and carnage caused by a serious accident certainly hit me quite hard.

I don't know how much I can say about it really. Not just because it's police business, but because of what I can post on here. I will just say what the news said. Serious crash, one dead two badly injured.

I bet the people were pretty mangled.

Hmmm indeed. I suppose it's a real test on your nerves - or 'guts' as it were. This is something I'll most likely have to deal with at some point in my life too - I'm joining the force.

At least you got through it - shows you can deal with such situations and have what it takes to be a top copper.

Must have been a blow to the senses and emotions though.
