I know "people die every day" blah-blah. But seeing the wreckage and carnage caused by a serious accident certainly hit me quite hard.
I don't know how much I can say about it really. Not just because it's police business, but because of what I can post on here. I will just say what the news said. Serious crash, one dead two badly injured.
I don't know if you saw the pictures on the news. They were taken quite a while after the crash.
I was told about the condition of the deceased before helping with the search at the mortuary, but it was still shocking. The thinking about it on the way was probably worse though.
The fact that there were two people halfway through post mortems in one room I had to go in was a new experience too.

Shame coppers arent like that everywhere though. Ones we have round here could do with a big kick up the rear.
