I went to my first serious car crash yesterday. I think that was by far the worse job I've had to do since joining. Worse then that lass we found swimming in her own vomit. Even worse then that 45-year-old man hitting on me.

I know "people die every day" blah-blah. But seeing the wreckage and carnage caused by a serious accident certainly hit me quite hard.

I don't know how much I can say about it really. Not just because it's police business, but because of what I can post on here. I will just say what the news said. Serious crash, one dead two badly injured.

It was more then a little shocking.

I don't know if you saw the pictures on the news. They were taken quite a while after the crash.

I was told about the condition of the deceased before helping with the search at the mortuary, but it was still shocking. The thinking about it on the way was probably worse though.

The fact that there were two people halfway through post mortems in one room I had to go in was a new experience too.

If there's proof that people, made of soft skin and snappable bones, shouldn't be put in metal containers and hurtled towards each other at great speeds, then this is it.

I don't even think we have police here. I've seen one on a bike once, Constable Currie. He interviewed me.... think he nearly arrested me once too.

We have one policeman.

Shame coppers arent like that everywhere though. Ones we have round here could do with a big kick up the rear.

I watched Street Crimes UK the other night. I'd just beat the hell out all the drunks with my baton and pepper spray.

This is where I couldn't do your job.

I'm quite emotional, like the big fairy I am.
