A Plasma TV, around the 42" region.

I am willing to spend up to £3000 including a new surround sound system. I am wanting one with 1024 x 1024 resolution with NTSC 100hz or PAL 100hz playback.

I have one month to choose, any advice would be appreciated.

Cheers!

You've got a great TV at the minute. Stick with it.

It is A 17" LCD TV which is supposed to have similar issues, I would imagine Plasma would be worse.

The only worrying thing is that average repairs cost around £1000 on Plasma TV's.

What type of monitor is it that you played the games on though?

The downside to plasma screens is needing to refill it every 5 years or so.

Nah, the tax man does an audit in a month ;)

Just waiting for this months wages and what not and then I can grab it.

I have heard about image burn on Rear Projections however I have played a fair few PC games at length on the monitor I have at home and haven't had any issues.

If you are playing Games using a plasma screen I wouldn't recommened it, as there is always the risk of image burn.

Surely for £3000 though you could get one of those massive home cinema systems with surround sound and all that malarky?

Oh and why do you have to buy it in 1 month, does the money turn back into a pumpkin at the stroke of midnight or something?

Heh!

Yeah, I work full time and have traded postal for a business me and my brother are setting up online.

63" would be stupid but extremely tempting, don't want to go above £3000 though ;)

You could try looking on Kelkoo. I just noticed they've got a 63" one on there which looks rather appealing, shame it's £12740.

no offence but but it is a criminal waste of money, Is this a large part of your disposable income? or have you got enough cash not to care?
