Or something

My dad's salary has went up about 8% from last year as he got a raise. So, when filling in the form for University this year I put he had an increased wage, knowing they'd take a bit off it.

They've taken 65-70% of my loan off me... how they work this one out I have no idea. I don't take handouts from my parents anyway so basically I'm a lot of money down, not enough to afford transport and books.

Yey, this is great. They send to me login details for their website so I can go check what's going on and guess what.

or for the lazy people...

[I]"You may have been told that any applicant can now apply for a student loan via this site and access his or her account. This facility is not yet in place.

Student Finance Direct hoped to be able to provide full access for all applicants by May 2004 but, for a number of reasons, this has not been possible. Please look out for information on this page which will tell you when your Local Education Authority area is being phased in to the new Customer Portal."[I]

I hate the fact that in order to learn we have to put ourselves into debt, fortunately for me I'm not going to uni until next year so my debt will have to wait, by the way, how do the student loans work with you guys and gals in England?

Yeah, know the feeling, I only got the minimum non-means tested loan this year, but as it's my 5th year at uni and already £16k in student loans debt, maybe it's a good thing :D
