Only goin' forward cos' we can't find reverese!

Classic tune.

Anyways, has anyone else bought the 1st season of the classic Star Trek that's just been released?

I'm asking because I have and can't for the life of me find the original pilot episode "The Cage" (Y'know the one without William Shatner)

Granted I haven't checked the bonus disc yet but theres no mention of it on the box.

Anyone?

All I can remember is that Vulcan males get effected by some sort of hormone that makes them aggressive. They don't challenge the mate, but someone else who they see as trying to mate with the mate.

As for the build up...well who knows, I suppose Lenard Nemoy (sp?) is the best person to ask...

Poor Spock. Does that mean he has to challenge his mate to the death? And why only seven years, isn't there some terrible build up?

Well Vulcan males can only mate once every 7 years...and most of their rituals involve a challenge to the death.

I do remember an episode which focused on that from TOS, and Voyager had atleast one. So chances are, yes he was :P

Yeah, but he'd never been to Mexico, probably, and was a space-virgin from planet X definitely.

What about the forgotten episode where the crew take a trip to Mexico, and Spock gets his first taste of Earthly poontang.

They also appeared in the DS9 time travel episode "trials and tribbil-ations", where the DS9 crew interact with Kirk.

Damn, that's sad.

Tribbles as said, I do believe they appeared in an episode of Enterprise. Dr Phlox was feeding them to one of his creatures. The episode they were first in was called "the trouble with tribbles"

*shrug* Just looked at amazon.com

".... the two-part "The Menagerie" (which recycled footage from the original pilot, "The Cage," which featured Christopher Pike as the captain of the Enterprise and is not included in this set)"

Still. I ain't gonna lose sleep over it. UK release might be different.
